Budget carrier Ryanair flew seven million passengers in August – down by 53% year-on-year as the Covid-19 crisis continues.
Last August it carried 14.9 million travellers.
Ryanair operated about 60% of its normal August schedule with a 73% load factor.
The August figures are an improvement on July, when Ryanair flew 4.4 million passengers, down 70% year-on-year.
In June it carried just 400,000, down 97% year-on-year.
Yesterday it launched a 48-hour seat sale offering one million seats for £5 one-way, for travel in September and October.
Last month it said it has cut frequencies on many September and October schedules as forward bookings weakened because of fresh travel restrictions.
