Transfers firm Lifts To has unveiled a Covid-19 guarantee to help boost consumer confidence to make tracel bookings.
The initative means that people can cancel with no penalty up to 4pm the day before departure if restrictions are officially announced less than 72 hours before travel.
The firm also wanted to ensure that travel partners looking to mitigate their risk of selling packages can offer an option to earn commission from transfers through a white label solution.
Managing director Richard Smith said: “Travel companies need all the support they can get to give their customers confidence to make bookings right now.
“We’ve been listening carefully and have come up with exclusive trade terms that work with the Travel Package Regulations, so you can book transfers with complete confidence.”
The move came as the company recruited Kelvin Dunk (pictured) from RCD Hotels as head of trade sales.
He previously worked at Voyages SNCF for 12 years where was UK and Ireland sales manager.
Dunk will be responsible for managing commercial negotiations with new and existing partners.
He said: “With more than 20 years relative industry experience working within the UK and Irish retail industry, I passionately believe that I can make a significant contribution to the B2B business plans and growth for Lifts.To and be instrumental in driving business forward in 2020 and beyond.
Smith added: “Kelvin’s experience in both tour operating and retail will ensure we continue to grow and build strong relationships with both new and existing trade clients and is a very welcome addition to the team.”
