BRITISH Airways Holidays has cut prices in its new worldwide tours programme by an average of 7% after hoteliers in several countries reduced their rates.
The operator said the expected tourism boom in destinations such as China and India had failed to materialise, forcing hoteliers to review their prices.
Product manager Tony Bounds said BAHhas also been aggressive in its contracting.
It has added eight new itineraries to the programme, bringing the total to 29 across 28 countries.
New additions include the 10-night Colonial Mexico tour, an eight-night trip through Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands and an 11-night journey from Santiago to Rio via Buenos Aires.
Prices start at £699 for the six night Legacy of the Raj tour.
