Tui Travel has announced a shake-up of its board of directors including the departure of its director of communications Christian Cull.

The firm’s public face, Cull was brought in by Johan Lundgren who was recently promoted to the new post of deputy chief executive from northern region managing director.

Other changes announced today include the appointment of Jeremy Ellis as marketing director and current director of purchasing Garry Wilson as product and purchasing director.

In addition, aviation planning director Andrew Flintham has been appointed as planning and trading director.

Tui said Flintham’s appointment would ensure it would continue to “maximise yields using our highly effective yield management system and processes”.

David Burling managing director Tui UK and Ireland said: “It is particularly pleasing that we have been able to promote colleagues from within the business to these positions, which is testament the strength of our leadership team.

“With these appointments I believe we have the right structure in place to drive our strategy and deliver our targets.”

Tui said Cull had “decided to take this opportunity to move on from the Group and will leave the business”.
