Gulf Air resumes flights to the Maldives

Gulf Air will resume its direct service from Bahrain to the Maldives with two flights a week, starting from December 12.

UK travellers can connect to the service to Velana International Airport on Male in the Maldives, thanks to Gulf Air flights from Heathrow on Mondays and Saturdays.

The new service to the Indian Ocean destination will only operate until January 10, 2021.

The flights will be operated by the airline’s Airbus 321neoLR which features 150 seats in economy class and 16 flat-bed seats in Falcon Gold class.

Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, originally started flying to the Maldives in October 2019.

Currently, the carrier serves Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait, Jeddah, Dammam, Medina, Muscat, Cairo, Amman, Heathrow, Paris, Frankfurt, Athens, Manila, Dhaka and several destinations in India and Pakistan.
