Island features in holiday show


Anguilla is being featured on ITV’s holiday programme, Wish you Were Here, in January next year. The programme is focusing on the island’s self-catering options and is based at the Carimar self-catering suites at Meads Bay.


Cuisinart to open in November


Anguilla’s newest hotel, the 93-room CuisinArt Resort and Spa, opens in November. The five-star property is designed to reflect the architecture of the Greek island of Mykonos and features tennis courts and a spa. Gourmet cuisine will be a highlight.


Cap Juluca updates wedding packages


Cap Juluca, the luxury Moorish-style hotel on Anguilla, has launched six new wedding packages to capitalise on this growing market to the island. Among the options is a Diamond package which costs $1,900 per couple and includes the wedding ceremony, a champagne sunset cruise, a bouquet and buttonhole, wedding cake, video and photographs.


Anguilla hosts two agents fam trips


The Anguilla tourist board is hosting two agent fam trips to the island in conjunction with BA and BWIA. Up to six agents will be invited on each trip, one of which will take place in December and the other in January 2000.


Malliouhana invests £2m on upgrade


The five-star Malliouhana Hotel is investing $2m in an extension to its supervised children’s playground, including two swimming pools. The new state-of-the-art beachside playground will be unveiled in November when the hotel reopens.
