Trailfinders ‘Movember’ fund raiser hits £10,000

More than £10,000 has been raised by a Trailfinders employee and nine colleagues by growing moustaches during ‘Movember’.

The third annual fund-raising exercise will go towards £50,000 needed for surgery for Nick England’s three-year-old son James who suffers from cerebral palsy.

Trailfinders chairman and founder Mike Gooley agreed to match the amount of any funds raised to bring the total raised by the Birmingham branch staff up to the £10,000 level.

James is on the waiting list for surgery at Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool and the family needs to raise the funds for this as well as specialist equipment and physiotherapy.

The cost will not be covered by the NHS, but his neurosurgeon believes that the procedure will improve James’ quality of life, reduce his pain and may also help him to walk.
