EasyJet to run year-round Iceland service

A new service by EasyJet from Luton to Iceland is to operate year round.

The decision to run a full year service to Reykjavik is in response to passenger demand for the route.

More than 8,000 seats have been sold in advance of the inaugural flight on March 27.

Tickets for next winter’s flights, which start in October, will be available to book from next month.

Flights will continue to operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

The budget airline’s commercial manager Hugh Aitken said: “Our new route to Iceland has already proved to be successful with passengers at both ends of the route responding to our affordable fares.

“Iceland is an inspiring destination, and all year round offers a unique experience.”
