The African Travel & Tourism Association (Atta) has appointed marketing specialist Kate Kenward as a director on its management board.
Kenward has almost 30 years’ experience in the industry having spent 15 years as EMEA marketing communications manager for Tourism Australia and 11 years as executive director of Aito, the Specialist Travel Association.
Since leaving Aito in March 2020, Kenward has worked as a consultant for other associations, tour operators, travel technology specialists and destinations, as well as an FCDO-funded project to evaluate the tourism potential of Sierra Leone.
Atta chairman John Corse said: “We welcome Kate’s breadth of association and tourism experience onto our board. In these challenging times, Kate will greatly assist our lobbying and industry issues work along with her advocacy skills to help inform and promote the work of Atta on behalf of our members.”
