Warnings issued about strikes in Germany, Spain and India

Britons planning to travel to India, Spain and Germany have been advised to check Foreign & Commonwealth Office travel advice before setting off.


Ongoing strike action at Frankfurt airport is being compounded by other industrial action set to cause disruption to Iberia flights and industrial action across India today (Tuesday).


Trade unions have called for an all India strike today. “Transport and public services may be severely disrupted. There may also be public disturbances. Monitor local media and avoid large public gatherings,” the FCO said.


The union representing pilots at Iberia has called for strikes tomorrow. Passengers are advised to check with the airline if they are due to travel.
