Japan Airlines has taken delivery of its first two Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners.
The two aircraft were flown into Tokyo from Boeing’s Seattle base prior to the aircraft entering service next month.
The new generation twinjets will be used on JAL’s new Tokyo-Boston route which is launched on April 22.
Representative director and president of the JAL Group Yoshiharu Ueki said: “The in-flight experience of this aircraft was extraordinary and beyond my expectations.”
Boeing Japan president Mike Denton said: “It was my first long-haul flight on the Dreamliner and it was great to experience first hand the enhanced cabin environment which made it a truly pleasant journey.”
