We asked AAT Kings what are the most frequently asked questions about coach travel.
How long are we on the coach for? Usually no more than 2hrs at a time, although clients have to appreciate that some journeys are a considerable distance.
What size/weight of baggage can we take on tour? This is usually the same as on your flight to Australia – 20-30kgs per person. There are large baggage holds under the coach. Luggage and portage service is included.
Do we have to dress smartly for dinner on tours? No, casual dress is fine although in some of our five-star properties string vests will obviously not be acceptable! Anything goes on camping and 4WD tours.
On camping and 4WD tours, do we take a sleeping bag and cook? No, you are given a sleeping bag to keep and there are no rostered duties as we have a safari cook. Participation is at the client’s discretion.
