For winter 1999/2000, Panorama has introduced a new golfing option into its Tunisia programme, a three-day Improve Your Game package for advanced players in Hammamet and Monastir. For £159, clients get three hours’ tuition a day including an hour on a driving range and a nine-hole game on a championship course. Clients need to bring their own clubs. A package of four nights in four-star accommodation in Hammamet, including return flights from Gatwick to Tunis with transfers leads in at £159.
n accor makes first break into tunisian market
Hotel group Accor has made its first foray into Tunisia – thecompany has paid £1.15m for a 51% stake in local hotel chain Tunisia Hotels Resort. Under the agreement, Accor’s Leisure and Tourism division will take over the management of six hotels ranging from the three-star Hotel Eden Club in Monastir to the five-star Palm Beach Djerba in the South of the country.

Airtours is featuring a range of four-star plus and five-star hotels in Tunisia in its upmarket Prestige Collection brochure, which is new for Summer 2000. Prices lead in at £429 per person for seven nights at a five-star property in Skanes on a half-board basis. The deal includes flights and apersonal taxi transfer.
