THOMAS Cook has launched an Internet service for its Timeshare Holidays division.
It allows users to search for a selection of resorts around the world offered by the operator, which set up its timeshare division in May 1998.
The site explains everything the customer needs to know when it comes to buying a timeshare, including background on what timeshare is all about, different purchase options available, industry facts and figures, legislation guidelines and a guide to the cost of owning a timeshare.
Users can also access in-depth profiles of Thomas Cook’s 17 four and five-star resorts in 10 different countries and get details of subsidised preview visits to any property they are interested in. This year, more than 1m Britons are expected to travel on a timeshare holiday.
Thomas Cook Timeshare Holidays general manager Andrew Chapman said the operator is currently selling 40 timeshares a week.
“Timeshare is now recognised as a flexible and affordable option that has shaken off its previously dodgy image. An Internet site is an extension to the service we already offer in our shops.”
