HILTON Group is in the advanced stages of selling the Sherlock Holmes Hotel in Baker Street to a Dutch hotel holding company for £10m.
The hotel will be managed by Park Plaza Hotels Europe Ltd which operates Park Plaza properties in the Netherlands, Belgium, Israel, South Africa and the UK.
Following Hilton’s purchase of Stakis Hotels in February, the group has reviewed its portfolio and is selling properties that no longer fit the Hilton image.
The group is also poised to put its overseas gambling interests on sale, a move expected to net the company £120m.
