Hampshire-based online agent 2bookaholiday has become the first member of Broadway Travel’s consortium (BTC).
Broadway Travel revealed plans to launch a specialist consortium offering group Atol protection in July. It is headed by managing director Adam Pardini and finance director Jill Gardner, formerly of Hays Travel.
The Newcastle and Luton-based call centre, homeworking and web retailer plans to offer Abta bonding and Atol cover, and is going through the process of seeking Accredited Body status from the Civil Aviation Authority.
2bookaholiday will begin trading under the consortium on December 13.
Pardini said: “Having spent time with the team we are extremely confident we will help develop an already successful business even further.
“2bookaholiday is a web and call centre business and is looking to expand on its current £15 million turnover, which we feel is a perfect business to join the consortium.”
Michael Larkin, a director at 2bookaholiday, said the main reasons for joining BTC were the technology and product range.
“We feel BTC understands the specific market in which we trade and can add real value,” he said.
“Current market conditions are challenging and any advantages we can gain will help grow our business. With BTC we feel this is a real possibility, especially with some unique stock to sell across various media platforms.”
