THE WALES Tourist Board has launched a new conference and incentive planner aimed at business travel agents and events management companies.
The planner details Wales’ conference centres and venues as well as a list of specialist companies that can put together the component parts for a successful conference or corporate events. It contains case studies and reports from organisers that have chosen Wales as a conference destination as well as a list of venues and breakdown of facilities.
For ease of reference, each venue has been graded for added extras such as complementary activities on offer and whether it employs specialist events organisers. w
WTB chief executive Jonathan Jones said:”Our aim is to increase the number of conference and incentive groups that visit Wales and at the same time remind organisers of large-scale conferences that Wales is skilled at hosting major international events and has modern facilities.”
He said over the past six-12 months, more destination management companies have added Wales to their programmes for overseas delegates, either as a stand alone destination or part of a two-centre itinerary.
