British Airways UK head of sales Richard Tams departed on a round-the-world charity trip on Saturday with colleague Andrew Solum.
The pair are bidding to raise £20,000 for BA-Comic Relief charity Flying Start and by the weekend already had pledges in excess of £19,000.
Tams and Solum set off on their seven-day world tour from New York, flying to Chicago and then on to Tokyo. On Sunday they flew on to Hong Kong.
They aim to fly around the world using every carrier in the network of Oneworld alliance partners, taking in 16 airports and no more than four hotel rooms.
