n conference tariffs growing faster than inflation



Companies are starting to organise more conferencesin-house rather than pay out on hotel bills, according to a survey by conference reservations company Banks Sadler. The survey shows that tariffs for venues are growing at a higher rate than inflation, with a four-star hotel charging £180 and a five-star hotel quoting £300 per person.



n phoenix travel wins young and rubicam account



Phoenix Travel and its USpartner Advanced Travel Management has won the business travel account of Young and Rubicam in the US. Phoenix has run the UKaccount for the past 16 years, but previously the USside of Young and Rubicam was run by Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
