The training department at Hays Travel is celebrating the results of an Ofsted inspection, which looked at how well it runs its apprenticeship programme.
Ofsted awarded Hays a ‘Good – Grade 2’ for its ‘overall effectiveness’, with ‘outcomes for learners’ reported as ‘Outstanding – Grade 1’.
The report said: “Apprentices develop outstanding skills and knowledge and have excellent career progression and promotion opportunities within Hays Travel.”
Hays Travel’s head of training, Katie Woods-Ruddick, said: “Having an external body like Ofsted come in and review what we do has been a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable feedback with regard to how we can improve, and also for us to receive the recognition that I believe the team here deserve.
“Receiving such positive feedback from Ofsted has made me very proud indeed.”
Almost 100 apprentices have started at Hays Travel over the past two summers.
