WTTC names Travel Weekly as its UK trade media partner

The World Travel & Tourism Council, the global forum for travel and tourism business leaders, confirmed Travel Weekly Group as its UK trade media partner.

The WTTC represents the industry to governments, with members drawn from the chief executives of many of the world’s biggest airlines, hotel groups, travel companies, cruise lines and technology firms. Michael Frenzel, head of Tui Travel parent Tui AG, is the current chairman.

WTTC communications director Toby Nicol said: “We are delighted with this agreement and envisage building a strong working relationship with the Travel Weekly Group team, who have gone from strength to strength in recent years.”

Clive Jacobs, chairman of Travel Weekly Group, said: “Having long supported the WTTC I am delighted that Travel Weekly Group has been chosen as exclusive media partner in the UK. Our products and people are industry‑leading and it is hugely satisfying to have this acknowledged by the WTTC.”

The WTTC announced the move as it made a final call for nominations for its Tourism for Tomorrow Awards 2013. Find out more and apply at: wttc.org/tourismfortomorrow
