EasyJet is to expand services to Malta after celebrating flying 1.5 million passengers to and from the island since taking over routes from GB Airways in 2008.
Flights from Manchester to Malta will rise from five to six flights a week, adding an extra 10,000 seats next summer.
The budget carrier will operate flights on the route every day except Sundays from March 25.
Commercial manager Ali Gayward said: “We’re thrilled to have flown 1.5 million passengers to and from Malta, and are delighted to be able to extend our services on the Malta to Manchester route, which we know will be popular for business and leisure travellers alike.”
