Flights to Moscow for under £50 go on sale today (Wednesday) by easyJet.
A lead in rate of £47.49 one way is being made available on the new service from Gatwick to the Russian capital.
The budget carrier is to start daily flights on March 18, rising to twice daily from April 15.
UK director Paul Simmons said: “We are delighted to offer our flights for sale for less than £100 return on this landmark route.
“It will be both easier and more affordable than ever before to fly between the two capital cities.
“Flights between Manchester and Moscow went on sale last month and have exceeded our expectations in terms of demand, and we expect London to perform at least as well.
“Around 250,000 passengers will fly with easyJet between London Gatwick and Moscow in our first year of operations.”
Flights will depart Gatwick at 7am and arrive at Moscow Domodedovo airport at 1.50pm local time with the return flight departing at 2.30pm and arriving into Gatwick at 3.40pm.
The second daily flight will operate from Gatwick at 2.10pm arriving in Moscow at 9pm, returning at 9.40pm and arriving at Gatwick at 10.50pm.
EasyJet launched a Russian homepage, easyjet.ru, last month.
