Abercrombie & Kent has added six new villas to its Crete portfolio due to ever increasing demand.
The “super sexy super lux” villas are scattered throughout the island.
Here are more details about three of them.
Villa Cien, Elounda
Overlooking the Aegean and the Cretan mountains this brand new ultramodern villa is within easy walking distance of Elounda and a short drive from Agios Nikolaos.
It sleeps 16 and is described as being at the “cutting edge of cool.”
Very spacious, uber-smart minimalist interiors, bespoke furniture, designer objects, multiple terraces and an infinity pool that seems to flow seamlessly into the blue waters of the Aegean.
From £11,343 per week (£709 per person per week).
Villa Flarodia, Agios Pavlos
Lavishly renovated this ancient villa lies in the picturesque village of Agios Pavlos.
It is within easy reach of Chania (‘Little Venice’) and several sandy beaches and is surrounded by gardens, an ecologically friendly saltwater pool and wooded hills.
The traditional exterior conceals a contemporary interior with vaulted ceilings, open fires, a “chic and restrained” décor and inspired touches such as a designer dining room table built around the original 250 year old olive press. Accommodation for 10 is in sensational suites, giving it a boutique hotel-like feel.
From £3,420 per week (£342 per person per week).
Villa Valomia, Kolymbari
Minutes from the beach, the villa has sea views in one direction, cicada-studded olive groves in the other and landscaped gardens all around.
There are endless terraces, some vine shaded, others sun drenched, another with a BBQ and dining bar.
The infinity pool has an Arabian Nights style gazebo apparently floating on the surface.
The light-filled interior has high vaulted ceilings, pale polished wood floors, “subtle and sophisticated country-chic” colour schemes throughout and every mod-con and comfort imaginable.
Sleeping 6 it is ideal for families or small groups of friends.
From £2,052 per week (£342 per person per week).
