A homeless man is reported to have been charged following a failed robbery at a Thomas Cook agency branch in Camberley, Surrey, last week.

David Huskinson, 49, of no fixed abode, appeared before Staines Magistrates’ Court on Saturday charged with attempted robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.

No pleas were entered, and he was remanded in custody to appear at Guildford Crown Court on March 21.

Police said a female worker at the High Street agency shouted for help after being threatened during the incident at around 12.45pm on March 1.
