SPECIALIST operator French Life is aiming to sell a third of 2000 capacity by December after launching a preview brochure for the first time.
“We tested the idea with a very limited number of agents in 1998 and have decided to go all-out this year,” said business development manager David Stamp. “We will have a print-run in excess of 250,000.”
Offers to entice early-bookers include 12% savings on its Italian villas programme, including the peak season, and reductions on hotels, cottages, villas and apartments in France of around 10%. The savings in France do not apply between July 15 and September 1.
“Essentially the preview brochure is just our 1999 programme with a new cover and intro pages which highlight the savings,” added Stamp.
All deals will be valid until December when the operator brings out its main brochure.
Stamp said he was aiming for a 25% growth in 2000.
French Life has recruited 40 reservations staff in the past four months, taking the total to 85.
