A year-round California and Las Vegas brochure has been introduced by Unijet to replace its winter programme to the US gambling centre.
Scheduled flights on Continental Airlines are featured from Gatwick, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham with a charter option available from Belfast.
Flydrives, tours with cruise add-ons and single-centre holidays are on offer.
Long-haul general manager Brian Booker said California was featured two years ago but was then dropped as the programme could only be served from London.
“There is a gap in the market for this product and the opportunity came up to use Continental from the regions,” he said. “Customers were also asking why we did not feature the area.”
The new Paris Las Vegas hotel, which opens on September 1, will be featured.
Meanwhile, the operator is targeting adults in its new year-round Florida programme as a way of expanding the market. Prices have been held.
Booker predicted the destination would pick up next year after a difficult 1998/99.
“Florida is very much a repeat product and both Disney and Universal have new attractions which will start drawing people back,” he said.
Scheduled flying has been increased on Continental into Miami, Fort Myers, Tampa and Orlando.
