The early Easter this year resulted in Aer Lingus seeing a drop in April carryings.
Overall passenger numbers were down by 2.5% to 868,000 for the month, with a 3.3% decline in short-haul to 784,000.
Long-haul carryings grew by 6.3% to 84,000.
“The negative variance year on year can be attributed to the timing of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend which fell at the end of March in 2013 but in the first week of April in 2012,” the Irish airline said.
