Ryanair claims record on-time performance in July

A record 92% of Ryanair flights arrived on time last month – a one percentage point improvement on July 2012.

The budget carrier claimed to have received less than one complaint per 1,000 passengers and less than one complaint about luggage per 2,000 passengers in the month.

A spokesman said: “During July, 92% of our 53,000 flights operated arrived on time, as Ryanair continued to raise the bar in airline performance.”

He claimed that the carrier’s performance coupled with low fares and no surcharges was winning passengers from Air France, British Airways and Lufthansa.

The airline is projecting 81.5 million carryings this year due to “unbeatable on-time flights, fewest lost bags and great customer service,” he added.
