Flybe aircraft lands safely at Newquay after technical issues

A Flybe aircraft carrying 44 landed safely at Newquay airport last night after suffering technical issues.

The Dash 8 reportedly suffered hydraulics problems while en-route from Gatwick before landing at about 10pm.

Emergency crews were called to the scene but Cornwall Fire Service said the incident was dealt with by the airport’s own fire staff.

A spokesman for Newquay Fire Station told This Is Cornwall there were no reports of any injuries.

“We were called to a Dash 8 plane that had suffered a hydraulic leak. It was already on the ground when we arrived and we were there to make the scene safe.
