Travel Counsellors opens up conference to all agents

Travel Counsellors claims it has taken on the equivalent of one new agent a day this year as figures show its recruitment levels are up by almost 50% on last year.

Now the company is hoping to attract more potential recruits by opening up its annual conference in Telford to agents from outside the company.

Steve Byrne, managing director, said: “Our international conference is without a doubt the most anticipated event in the company calendar.

“At Travel Counsellors we take a more personal approach to recruitment so extending an invitation to our conference seemed like the perfect way for interested travel professionals to find out more.

“The conference showcases exactly what makes Travel Counsellors different so will give an honest, first-hand insight into how the company works.

“We hope it will enable these agents to get a real sense of the camaraderie, support and friendship we share with one another at Travel Counsellors.

“We really have had a fantastic year for recruitment – the best in our 19 year history. As the interest rises from potential recruits we wanted the opportunity to show them the bigger picture of Travel Counsellors.”

The business sessions will be held on November 16 and more than 1,100 delegates – including almost 600 of the company’s agents – are expected to attend. Agents from Travel Counsellor’s overseas offices including Ireland, the Netherlands, South Africa, Australia and Dubai will attend.
