Cook’s Green unlocks bonus after hitting all targets

Thomas Cook chief executive Harriet Green was awarded £2.85 million for her first full year in charge of an ambitious recovery plan.

Green, who has led a £305 million rights issue and cost cutting measures since joining Cook in July 2012, hit all targets required to gain her full £1.8 million cash bonus.

Her base salary for the year was £680,000.

The bonus amount shown of £1,785,000 relates to a 14-month period from 30 July 2012 to 30 September 2013, Thomas Cook’s annual report shows.

Chief financial officer Michael Healy was paid a total of £1.3 million, up from £176,000 in the previous year, the report outlines.

Cook’s annual meeting is to be held in London on February 1.
