A new media campaign is being launched as part of a strengthened partnership between Etihad Airways and Air Berlin.
The ‘Moving Forward’ initiative will run until March and feature a new partnership logo of the two airlines in advertising in Germany.
The two airlines will strengthen their partnership with joint sales operations and codesharing across the two networks.
Currently, 66 Air Berlin routes carry the Etihad Airways ‘EY’ code and 33 Etihad Airways routes carry Air Berlin’s AB code.
The plan was announced as the partners unveiled an Airbus A320 in joint livery.
The partnership between the two airlines, formed in 2011 when Eithad took a 29.21% stake in Air Berlin, has carried close to 900,000 passengers and contributed €200 million in revenue.
Etihad and Air Berlin operate 42 weekly flights between destinations in Germany and Abu Dhabi, with the number to rise to 49 weekly flights in February with the introduction of a second daily Munich service.
