Henning Boysen, Kuoni Travel chairman since 2006, is to step down.
He is credited with having “decisive influence” on Kuoni’s development over the last decade from a traditional tour operator to a global travel-related service provider.
Boysen, a member of the Swiss-based company’s board of directors since 2003, has decided not to stand for another term of office.
He will leave at the company’s annual general meeting on April 25.
Vice chairman Heinz Karrer, who has been on the board since 2007, is being proposed to step up as the new chairman.
Boysen said: “Now Kuoni’s transformation into a successful, globally active travel company is complete, I feel it is the right time to hand over to a new chairman.
“I am very glad that in Heinz Karrer we have a highly qualified successor from within our own ranks. This will ensure continuity in Kuoni’s ongoing development.”
