Norwich Union is believed to be in negotiations with Hilton Group to acquire 13 of its hotels for around £80m.
Industry sources say the hotel chain is talking to Norwich Union which is interested in 10 of the 13 for a price of £80m. If successful, Norwich Union is expected to award a management contract to midmarket hotel chain Jarvis. Hilton group had earmarked eight for disposal before it acquired Stakis this year and afterwards decided to sell another five.
A spokeswoman for the company admitted it was in talks to sell 13 properties but refused to comment further.
