Thomas Cook chief executive Harriet Green is one of three bosses nominated for the prestigious Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award.
Green’s nomination follows her work in turning around the financial fortunes of Europe’s second largest tour operating group.
The shortlist also includes Jane Shepherdson, chief executive of fashion chain Whistles, and Karen Beckett, chief executive of media agency MediaCom.
All three were said to have made “significant positive change” to their organisations in their roles as chief executive.
The winner is due to be announced at a ceremony on May 12.
