Thomas Cook non-executive chairman Frank Meysman has been named as one of the country’s top non-executive directors.
He was recognised in the Sunday Times non-executive director awards.
Meysman was shortlisted in a category for quoted companies outside the FTSE 100 alongside Gareth Davis of DS Smith; Anthony Fry of Dairy Crest; Alun Jones of Primary Health Properties and Richard Moon of Acal.
Cook chief executive Harriet Green tweeted: “Excellence is a daily habit. Congrats to Frank Meysman, chairman – winner at the Sunday Times NED awards.“
The awards were presented yesterday, with details due to be published this weekend.
Green was named business person of the year by The Times in January for her achievement in turning around Thomas Cook from the brink of collapse when she joined in 2012.
