n caledonian agrees to up grenada services



Caledonian Airways is adding a second weekly flight to Grenada from Gatwick on November 5. The move comes a year after the island set up a committee to lobby UKcarrier’s to increasecapacity. Grenada Board of Tourism UK and European director Celine Bullen said the new service should help UK visitor numbersovertake US arrivals next year. Last year 23,311 UK visitors went to Grenada.

n iberia to extend smoking ban



Iberia will ban smoking on all aircraft from September 1. The current ban onlycovers flights of less than 90mins on domestic routes.



n Air mauritius sees profits reach £10m



Air Mauritius increased pre-tax profits by 31% in the year to March 31. The rise from £7.6m to £10m came after the airline axed unprofitable routes.



n air atlanta icelandic considers flotation



Aircraft leasing company Air Atlanta Icelandic is to be floated on Iceland’s stock exchange by the end of next year. The firm operates out of Gatwick, Manchester and Stansted on behalf ofcharter and scheduledairlines needing extra capacity.



n Emirates rolls out first-class service



Emirates is introducing first class cabins on its daily Gatwick to Dubai A330-200 service from September 1.
