Mark Bloxham has been appointed managing director of James Villa Holidays, taking over from Malcolm Hoad who is leaving after eight years to explore other opportunities.
Bloxham joined James Villa Holidays and Villas4You as marketing director last year, and previously held the same position at Teletext Holidays.
In the new role, he will be responsible for overseeing both brands, and will report in to Geoff Cowley, managing director of Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK.
Bloxham said: “James Villa Holidays is a strong, well-respected travel business which is growing so it’s an exciting time to take over as we continue to expand our range of villas and destinations.
“We see clear space to develop the business particularly through the trade. We want to work more closely with our travel agent partners on the Villas4you brand and that will be one of my first priorities.”
Cowley added: “We see strong potential in both the James Villa Holidays and Villas4you brands. I’ve been hugely impressed with the ideas and results Mark has brought to the business in just a short space of time.
“We’re investing in our brands and he’s got the drive and energy to take this business to the next level. I’m looking forward to working more closely with him.”
