Monarch management reshuffle to strengthen buying power

Monarch Travel Group (MTG) has moved to strengthen its buying power with a management reshuffle.

Head of purchasing Tom McCormick becomes purchasing director, while head of product and commercial, Neil Garner, moves up to take the role of purchasing head.

Customer experience director Graham Coles will lead the Cosmos parent company’s customer experience division with a restructured management team responsible for both overseas and UK operations.

McCormick will oversee an expanded five-strong purchasing team, including Garner.

The remit is to further strengthen the operator’s package and accommodation-only programmes as well as identifying areas for expansion and development.

The changes are designed to bring “an enhanced focus to the entire customer journey, from booking through to return home”.

The management changes support the recent launch of several key customer initiatives including ‘Cosmos Concierge’ and an increased focus on the customer airport experience.

MTG managing director Phil Boggon said: “The changes we have made strengthen our group’s buying power as well as our promise to deliver a 100% holiday experience for every one of our customers.

“We have outperformed the market for three consecutive years and our plans for the future accelerate that growth. The strong management team we have in place will drive our strategy forward at pace.“
