Travel Counsellors joins GTMC after business travel growth

Travel Counsellors has become a member of the Guild of Travel Management Companies following growth in corporate sales.

Managing director Steve Byrne said: “Our corporate travel sector is the fastest growing area of our business, increasing on average by over 30% over the last four years, as clients recognise the value in the high levels of personal, concierge service our agents can provide.

“As we continue to expand and invest in our corporate travel offering, joining the GTMC as the UK’s leading professional body for TMCs makes solid business sense.

“The organisation’s focus on delivering the best standard of service, quality and value is reflected in our own vision and values as a company, and we look forward to working together to represent these standards in the industry.”

Travel Counsellors is the latest in a number of new additions to the GTMC since the start of the year, including Heathrow, IT solutions organisation NIIT Technologies and ground transport provider One Transport.

Guild chief executive Paul Wait said: “Travel Counsellors has a strong focus on growth in the corporate sector and we look forward to welcoming them to our growing network.

“The GTMC now has its highest ever number of members and partners and Travel Counsellors is a high profile and valuable addition to our organisation.”
