Aito is to hold its 30th overseas conference in Istanbul in Turkey.
The Association of Independent Tour Operators, which last held a conference in Istanbul more than 20 years ago, will hold the event at the Hotel Park Bosphorus from November 27 to November 30, 2014.
Conference events will be held at the modern art museum and in a palace on the shores of the Bosphorus Strait, with a variety of tours offered to delegates. The hotel is a short walk from Taksim Square in the modern heart of Istanbul. Flights will be offered with Turkish Airlines and a variety of other carriers from a range of UK airports.
Aito chairman Derek Moore said: “We have been waiting to stage our conference in Istanbul for some years as we feel it represents the kind of holiday experience that Aito members like to offer: authentic, culturally connected, adventurous and intriguing. I think our attendance figures at this conference will be very high.”
The conference will address relevant, topical issues facing Aito members, with the aim of helping them to grow their businesses and take advantage of improved consumer confident in the holiday market.
Istanbul is Turkey’s most populous city and its cultural and financial hub, located either side of the Bosphorus Strait separating Europe from Asia.
