Transaero to start St Petersburg-Heathrow flights

Russia’s second-largest carrier Transaero Airlines is to start flying to St Petersburg from Heathrow.

A twice-weekly service will run from October 29 on Wednesdays and Saturdays using Boeing 737s.

Return fares lead in at £186 including taxes. The flight duration is 3 hours 30 minutes.

The airline will be offering its ‘Discount’ class on the route, including free luggage allowance from 10 to 20 kg, depending on the fare.

The service also includes free onboard meals and drinks.

The outbound flights will depart Heathrow at 6.30pm with departures leaving St Petersburg at 3.40pm local time.
