Deilman picks name for new river boat

PETERDeilman River Cruises is to name its forthcoming new river boat Katherina von Bora.

The vessel, which is due to be launched in March 2000, will have 42 outside cabins and a capacity of 80 passengers. UK director Richard Esdale said it would offer five-star facilities of the kind customers would expect in a hotel.

The river-cruise specialist is offering a programme of one-week journeys between Potsdam and Prague on Katherina von Bora from March next year until the end of October.

However, between mid-July and the end of August, it will operate one-week cruises from Potsdam to the Baltic instead.

The lead-in price for both itineraries is £1,054, based on two people sharing a twin cabin. The rate includes flights and insurance.

The launch of the new river boat will bring Peter Deilman’s fleet to a total of seven vessels.

The company offers a range of river cruises on the Danube, Elbe, Rhine, Moselle and Rhone.
