Ibiza Rocks Group to run first Croatia festival

The Ibiza Rocks Group is to run its first festival in Croatia next summer.

The Croatia Rocks Festival will take place on Zrce Beach, home to festivals such as Hideout and Germany’s Sonus.

Croatia Rocks will take place on July 20-23 with tickets going on sale on November 28. First release festival tickets lead in at £99.

The combination of Croatia’s pioneering festival promoters and one of Europe’s leading music tourism brands is seen as a significant move as the country evolves from an emerging destination for adventurous festival goers to an established music festival site.

Renowned for pushing the boundaries and shaking up the music scene in Ibiza for the last 10 years, Rocks says it will bring something new to Zrce, introducing established live acts, DJs, new artists and producers.

Club partners from the UK and Ibiza will join a programme of “Balearic fused” beach and boat parties as Ibiza Rocks marks its tenth anniversary in 2015.

Brand director, Shane Murray, said: “We’ve been excited about Croatia and the potential for the Rocks brand for some time and working with Hideout was always our number one priority. They bring success, infrastructure and credibility to the table.

“It’s the next natural step for us to launch a festival and it’s the right time to move into Croatia. As Rocks reaches 10 years its a significant new chapter in our story. We look forward to becoming part of what is already a rich and diverse festival scene.”

Hideout Festival director, Steve Allison, said: “As Hideout reaches five years and Croatia moves into the next phase of music tourism we are delighted to partner with Ibiza Rocks and deliver their first festival.

“With our local knowledge and success in delivering major events in Croatia combined with Ibiza Rocks’ credentials, this partnership will further cement Croatia as a recognised and influential part of the European festival summer.”
