Scandinavian low-cost carrier Norwegian’s October carryings rose by 15% to more than 2.2 million.
The load factor was 81.6%, up 2.3 percentage points year-on-year.
Chief executive Bjørn Kjos said: “We’re very pleased that the passenger figures continued in October, particularly as we’ve added 35% more seats for sale compared to the same month previous year.
“The fact that more customers outside of Scandinavia choose to fly with Norwegian, proves that we’re gaining a stronger international foothold and our new, more environmentally friendly aircraft, friendly in-flight service and low fares are well received.”
The carrier will introduce 14 Boeing 737-800s to its fleet in 2014 and has already taken delivery of four Boeing 787 Dreamliners this year.
