MORE THAN 2,000 agents signed up for the second year of boating and holiday park educationals run by Hoseasons Holidays.
Hoseasons director Yvonne Borg said the scheme, aimed at encouraging retailers to sample the operator’s UK products, had proved so successful last year it was decided to run it again ahead of the main summer ’99 season.
She said: “This is an ideal way for agency staff and their families or friends to sample our boating and holiday park products first hand on a short break.”
Agents tried out cruisers on the Norfolk Broads and the Thames, narrowboats on the canals of England and Wales and stayed in holiday parks and lodges throughout theUK.
Nottinghamshire agent Denise Durham was among the agents to take up the offer of an educational.
Durham, who was on a second trip to the Norfolk Broads, is manager of Byron Travel Worldchoice in Hucknall.
She said: “We enjoyed our first educational last year so much that we could not resist the offer a second time round, especially as we love the Broads so much and boating is always popular with ourcustomers.”
