Who offers it: Cadogan, Panorama, BAH Club Golf, Longshot Golf Holidays, JMC.


Most popular courses: the Citrus Golf Complex, Hammamet. It has two 18-hole courses and a nine-hole. The championship Yasmine golf course, which has an 18-hole course. Both are a 10min drive from Hammamet.


Beach resorts with golf courses: Hammamet, Port El Kantaoui, Monastir, Tabarka, Djerba.


Selling points: green fees, caddies and accommodation are all cheaper than Spain and Portugal. Courses are well-managed and are less-crowded than other Mediterranean destinations. In the winter, Tunisia is on average 10C warmer than the UK.


Best time to go: February to May and September to early November are the most popular months. In the summer heat, it is only viable to play in the early morning or late evening.
