NORTH America Travel Service managing director Ed Button has accused mainstream operators of lowering the standard of US holidays.
He said:”While there is a fight for market share, the prices will fall and the standard of choice will fall. You only have to open the brochures of the main operators and see what they sell in the US. They don’t sell much in terms of product. They send a lot of people but it is usually just to Orlando.
“The British travel trade has to lift its standards of vacations.”
