Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is taking over the hotel rated the number one luxury hotel in California by Tripadvisor.
The Fairmont Grand Del Mar, as it will now be known, is set within the Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve in Southern California close to La Jolla, Del Mar and Rancho Santa Fe. It has 249 rooms, and eight two-story 4,500 square foot villas.
The resort also has a 21,000 square foot spa, which received a Five Star rating from Forbes Travel Guide in 2015; 18-hole Tom-Fazio designed golf course and clubhouse; six food and beverage venues; and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.
